About.
Established in 2021, Pappy’s Bar embraces this new era of hospitality. Pappy’s Bar is a cool and intimate small bar located on Erskine Street in Sydney’s CBD. The namesake of our venue was born in Carmichael, Mississippi, USA in 1915.
Mississippi outlawed alcohol in 1908, a decade before the rest of the country and this ban was not lifted until 1966. “Pappy,” remaining in Mississippi for most of his life, grew up in the prohibition era of the 1920’s and beyond. The 1920’s were not so different from what we have experienced in the 2020’s. The bars are open, the beers are cold, and the food is hot. The roaring 20’s are back, with a bit of a twist.
At Pappy’s Bar we strive to make your visit one to remember from the moment you walk through our doors. From our delicious, versatile food and drink menu to our outstanding customer service, we can guarantee your visit will be unforgettable.
Spread out over a three-level terrace with laneway seating, we specialise in Australian craft beer, a carefully curated wine list and a wide range of spirits. Bring your Hinge date, your work friends, your best friends, we cater to all and will provide the best possible experience.
